My Site Build It Review 

This Site Build It review page is about my personal experience using Dr. Ken Evoy's Site Build It online business building program.

I can't remember how I first came across Site Build It, but in 2003 I paid the $299 on my Master Card at a time I really couldn't afford it.

I followed the SBI advice of "build a business around a topic you are passionate about" and got very, very lucky.... my website topic? Online poker.

My little 20 page online poker SBI site had little competition in the search engines back in early 2003. I was on the first page of Google for keyword phrases like "texas holdem strategies and "texas holdem odds" and was receiving around 300 to 400 unique visitors per day.

As you may know he online gambling affiliate niche is extremely lucrative because when you refer a player to an online poker room or casino, that player is yours for life as long as they continue the play, you earn a 25% - 35% commission. Believe me, those commissions add up.

I started making money my first month with my SBI site, and after a year my earning were up to around $5000 per month.... then catastrophe struck!

In 2006 the US congress passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act

90% of my earnings came from PartyPoker.com, a legitimate online poker room which is publicly traded on the London England stock exchange.

90% of the online poker players I had refereed from my website were US players and PartyPoker.com stopped allowing US players..... my players.

My website earnings dropped from $5,000 per month to $25 per month overnight. 

I learnt a huge lesson, don't keep all your eggs in one basket, don't rely one website or one company for your income because anything can happen.

Governments pass new legislation, companies go out of business and an affiliate programs Terms Of Service can change at any time..... read the fine print of your affiliate agreement.

I was so upset about the whole thing that I actually let my domain name expire and dropped the whole online poker affiliate business for about 6 months.

Site Build It Pro's And Con's 

First off, I would like to say that I in no way blame Site Build It for the mistakes I made with my poker website. That was entirely my fault.

That was one of the first websites I had ever built and Site Build It made it very easy for me to add pages of content and get my site indexed high in the search engines in just a few short weeks.

If you have never built a website before, and know nothing about search engine optimization then Site Build It maybe right for you.

One thing I don't like about the SBI process is they make it sound like you can earn good money with a site about almost any topic.

While it's great to build a website around topics you enjoy and have experience with, you had better be sure that you can monetize your traffic to the extent that you will be rewarded for all your hard work.

The Site Build It business model is to build a content rich, theme-based authority site of 50 plus pages targeting keyword phrases that get a good deal of traffic without too much competition.

Hundred's of people have built very profitable websites using Site Build It.

By very profitable I'm talking several thousands of dollars per month.

Can you achieve the same results?

You can if you build your site around a highly profitable niche and put in the work required.

Personally I would like to see more SBIers tackle the big money niches like,
weight loss, making money online, relationships and online gambling.

The powerful Site Build It software, keyword tools, auto-responder - newsletter program and the other traffic building techniques are being under unutilized in my opinion.

Forget about building hobby sites that might make you hundreds per month.

Go after the big money SBIers! 

Even if you build a website on a topic you know little about.... once the money starts rolling in you can outsource your content creation and compound your efforts. The same effect as compound interest.
